WHAT IS SILICOSIS?
Silicosis is an incurable but preventable lung disease caused by prolonged exposure to respirable crystalline silica dust. Understanding the risks of exposure is the first step towards prevention, early detection and better protection.
WHYKISHANGARH?
Kishangarh is one of India’s major marble-processing hubs, with over 1,200 marble-cutting units. Despite the scale of the industry, very few cases of silicosis are formally recorded, highlighting a critical gap that needs attention.
